History

Ray, like me, has had many a Mustang; an 79 Pace Car 5.0L, an 86 GT, a 89 DPS Coupe, an 89 Convertible, and finally an 88 GT Convertible.

This latest car started life as a trashed virgin. Hardly roadworthy, and hardly worthy of Ray's presence. But with hard work and lots of cursing we finally got it up and running reliably.

Parts and Labor

We have worked hard on and off on this car. Troubleshooting here, tweaking there. The worst time was getting it ready for FFW in May-02. After spending a week installing a cage, rear firewall and battery cutoff switch, the bastards didn't even check it.

  • 1.7:1 roller rockers
  • Pro-M Blowthru 75MAF
  • A9L ECU
  • 30#/hr injectors
  • ATI PB600 supercharger kit with 11PSI pulley
  • Tremec 3550
  • 3.08:1 gears
  • Flowtech long tube headers and H-pipe
